A gregorian chant melody line with arpeggiated harmony played from digital keyboard into a music maker midi recording. I gave it a whirl with a vst synthesizer voice called men's cathedral, twirled lots of dials and this came out.

I recorded myself singing in the tunnel that connects the buildings on the minnesota state capitol complex. This is the first measure of music in the kyrie mass in g minor, which is usually sang by a chorus in a cathedral environment. The tunnel makes it sound exactly like i'm singing in a church.

All i did is that i recorded and played a little riff on my violin with my ipad, and then add some reverb, and delay effects in audacity. (very eerie-like, but pretty). This kind of reverb used in the beginning and end of the riff is a cathedral room-like sound, and a few seconds of delay. I used mostly double-stops during the riff. Enjoy.

It's a sound you usually can hear in a horror movie. It makes your blood freeze if it wasn't ice already. It has medium attack and very long decay. The sound's timbre is similar to what a metal gong could do when hit inside a cathedral. Synthesized with zynaddsubfx inside lmms. Rendered as 96khz/32-bit. Edited and normalized in audacity.

A high-quality recording of a quiet day on the steps in front of the st. Ursen cathedral in solothurn, switzerland. You can hear the two fountains which build the background sound. Also, there are tourists and swiss people walking nearby and talking. The sound was recorded in 24bit on a professional zoom recorder with the xyh-5 stereo microphone. For postprocessing, only unwanted noises were cut from the recording and the overall sound level was raised.

While attempting to create a sick ass dubstep wob noise in rob papen's albino synth plugin, i managed to stumble across a telephone-like sound while pitching the filter cutoff on a weird shaped wave oscillator. I then put down the dubstep tune, and exported the noise with a gradual huge reverb at the end just for fun. I hope you enjoy it and i'd love to hear if someone uses it and in what context!. If you're interested in hearing my music (shameless plug) you can do here:. Https://soundcloud. Com/damnd_music. If you'd like the preset this sound was made using, i have saved it here:. Https://dl. The chimes of big ben first appeared on bbc radio at the very end of 1923 to announce the new year. In december 1948 this recording (catalogue number 825677) marked the 25th anniversary of big ben’s broadcasting career. Because the recording was made inside the tower there’s plenty of intriguing mechanical detail in addition to the tolling of the quarter bells and the 13-ton great bell. Big ben is the unofficial name for the great bell. Other london bell names include great paul and great tom in st pauls cathedral, and the inscribed names on the bells of st mary-le-bow in cheapside: katherine, fabian, christopher, margaret, mildred, faith, augustine, john, timothy, pancras, cuthbert and bow.
